DSL Service Complaints of Filipinos
5.03.2006
The PinoyDSL.net forum is hot on discussions about Filipino DSL subscribers' complaints. There is talk about Smart's Wi-Fi woes. Renamed as Smart -Bro. Could it be so because the Wi-Fi in its tag-line is a misnomer? Wi-Fi.org and other providers raise brows on that. Meanwhile, PLDT is also under attack by complaints of no connection, or lower than advertised speeds.
While most people do not understand (or bother to understand) ADSL technology and the concept of 'sharing the port' or 'burstible speeds', apparently, even for those who do understand these terms, the speeds don't seem to be enough. It's either people are subscribed in the wrong packages, or the service really sucks. Check the forum for more detailed discussion of DSL and other Broadband brands in the Philippines.
