How Ironic: Filipino Iceskaters win!
Check this link from the Inquirer. I was out in Megamall and saw a big banner saying congratulations for winning blah blah. I just had to check it out for myself and there it was... it's true!
FILIPINOS copped the overall championship in the 2004 Ice Skating Institute of America's World Championships held recently at the Schwan's Super Rink in Blaine, Minneapolis, in Minnesota.
How ironic is it that a country without ice wins the championship? This brings into question many things about post-colonialism which I won't dare answer. My congratulations to the SM team!
