Some guy posted this on the rockstar site: Damn!! Its about time that the Icelandic people stood up and recognized what a great musical talent they have in Magni. Hopefully music fans from other countries will see that Magni needs no gimmicks to win them over, he is the best of any season of RS.
 
I do admire magni, he sings songs by Live the way they were supposed to sound. Voting for talent is the ideal, we do know however that people vote on preferences. Marketing-wise, the average rockstar fan is driven by his psychographics and I would bet this changes over time. It's not just a factor of his musical influences or demographics. This being a worldwide vote in the internet, I wonder how much influence does editing the show have on the voting public's opinion. Hollywood trick or just plain marketing strategy? I wonder. I still believe Dilana was set up. Lukas' Lithium was pitched and highlighted to create an even bigger cold war rift between him and Dilana...Storm remains because Verizon needs the Female voters.
 
Conspiracy theory? I don't know. It's marketing. Is it working? Now that's another question.
